We all know that the central government had frozen the DA last year due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and will be releasing 3 installments of the same. The hike in dearness allowance will all increase the salary of the employees.

And One can note that in January 2020, the DA of the central government employees was increased by 4 percent. After this, there was an increase of 3 percent in June 2020.

And again, in January 2021, it increased by 4 percent. That is in total the DA has increased to 28 percent

According to the pay matrix of central government employees, the minimum salary is Rs 18000. In this, 15 percent dearness allowance is expected to be added which means that Rs 2700 per month will be directly added to the salary and Rs 32400 will be added annually as DA.

After this, dearness allowance for June 2021 is also to be announced. If sources are to be believed, that too is estimated to increase by 4 percent. If this happens, then after the payment of three installments on July 1, there will be a further payment of 4 percent in the next six months. The dearness allowance can reach a total of 32 percent.

Also, employees can know that the central government revises the dearness allowance in every 6 months. Its calculation is done in percentage by taking basic pay as the basis.

Last year, Due to Covid-19, last year the government had frozen dearness allowance from January 1, 2020 to July 1, 2021. Even the dearness relief (DR) also will not increase till July 1, 2021. Due to this decision, the government has saved a total of Rs 37000 crore in FY 2021-2022.

However, the central government employees are demanding that they should also be paid arrears from January 1. But, the central government has made it clear that arrears will not be paid. The decision regarding DA and DR will be implemented one by one in July 2021.

Now when central government has decided to give this high produced allows to their employees,  the employees of every state are now waiting for theirs turns.  They had wide open eye for this type of latest good news.
